Department: Sales- K-12
Location: , NY

Job Description: Associate Director of Immersive Learning

Position Overview

The Starlab Sales Representative role is a critical part of our 2026 growth strategy. This role is designed for high-initiative sellers who can operate with discipline, consistency, and hunger. The Rep will own a carved-down geographic territory and be responsible for generating pipeline and closing new Starlab deals through targeted outbound prospecting. This is not an SDR role, it is a true closing role, supported by leadership, systems, and our best-in-class product.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $50,000 • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $95,000+ • Commission Plan: Generous, uncapped structure tied directly to closed revenue • Additional performance incentives tied to quarterly and annual quotas

Key Responsibilities

• Own a defined regional territory with clear quotas and activity expectations

• Conduct high-volume, high-quality outbound outreach (email, phone, social)

• Run full-cycle sales motions — discovery, demos, pricing conversations, closing

• Deliver best-in-class demos highlighting Starlab’s impact, portability, and value • Build and manage a healthy pipeline with tight forecasting discipline

• Collaborate with the Starlab Director of Learning Experience and leadership for technical validation and demo support when needed

• Track all activity and pipeline movement in CRM with perfect accuracy • Represent Science Interactive and Starlab with professionalism and presence

What Success Looks Like

• Clear and measurable pipeline created each month

• Consistent outbound effort (no reliance on inbound leads)

• Early closed-won deals in the first 90–120 days

• Strong demo performance and high conversion rates from meetings

• Positive reputation with schools, teachers, and administrators

• Evidence of discipline, follow-through, and proactive communication

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales experience (inside sales, BDR/AE hybrid, or similar)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage a pipeline and run a full sales cycle

• Comfortable working in a high-activity, high-ownership environment

• Organized, coachable, and driven to exceed expectations

• Experience in K-12, education, or mission-driven products (preferred but not required)

Personality Traits That Thrive in This Role

• Hungry and internally motivated — thrives with clear targets

• Operates with discipline and consistency

• High personal accountability; no excuses

• Learns quickly and applies feedback immediately

• Comfortable with outbound volume and rejection

Why This Role Matters

Starlab is entering a new phase of growth. Historically, our revenue has come primarily from inbound interest. In 2026, we are expanding our reach by building an outbound engine for the first time. The Associate Reps will be the frontline force driving that motion. They will not only create new demand — they will set the tone for what disciplined, scalable Starlab selling looks like.
